Category A = Ships with permission for worldwide voyages
Category A MFAG A1 = Ships with permission for worldwide voyages and carrying dangerous goods and more than 24 hours to evacuation
Category A MFAG A2 = Ships with permission for worldwide voyages and carrying dangerous goods and less than 24 hours to evacuation
Category B = Ships with permission up to 175 NM from EU/ECC coasts
Category B MFAG B = Ships with permission up to 175 NM from EU/ECC coasts and carrying dangerous goods
New guidelines for Support vessels
Category C = Ships with permission no more than 25 NM from EU/ECC coasts
Category C MFAG C = Ships with permission no more than 25 NM from EU/ECC coasts and carrying dangerous goods
Category CR = Supplement to categories A, B and C (Lifeboats and liferafts: Supplement type CR)
Category P = Supplement to passenger ships categories A, B and C
