Marine aids to navigation

If you need to establish aids to navigation, for example in connection with a coming activity or the placing of an installation in territorial waters, you must first acquire a permit from the division of Safety of Navigation, National Waters.​

(Note: Safety of Navigation, Marine Aids to Navigation etc. in Danish and Greenlandic waters is now under the jurisdiction of the Danish Emergency Management Agency)

Permits to establish aids to navigation are granted on a number of conditions related to, inter alia, the position, type, maintenance or warnings. If you need to change, move or discontinue aids to navigation, you must also acquire a permit beforehand.
